Hey hot rod fans,
Thanks for checking out the site. We're still here - just haven't had a lot of updates. Life and work keep us busy. We'd just work on cars and bikes all the time if that paid the bills.
I just finished the '72 Ironhead this week and took it for a ride. Stayed in one piece, and that's always good. It needs pipes with more ground clearance, so I'll be starting on that today and I'll be sure to post pics of how I build those.
Public Service Announcement: Do you have a homeless, neglected car or motorcycle that needs a loving home? Give the machine a loving chance with adoption. Lead Devils will adopt good projects, or try to find them a good home, out of the goodness of our hearts. And we can't afford to actually lay down cash for any more toys. Geno needs a Harley. Anyone?

Thanks for coming by to check out the Lead Devils site. It's still under development as we figure things out, but we hope to fill this space with more info on the cars and what we're doing to them.
We're working on T-shirt designs right now and already have some cool window stickers made. Just e-mail for info on these. We hope to get the name out there and have some shirts available to the public at car shows and events later this year.
And as time permits, we should eventually have some blogs here dedicated to each car so you have a little understanding of their specs and mods.
Our goal is to have fun, building crazy rides and meeting other people with the same interests. Always seeking knowledge and experience, we keep our eyes and ears open to help us build something a little better each time. Running a super-low-budget operation means being creative and resourceful, not just farming out work or buying expensive parts to assemble a project. Self-reliance and hard work make the best rods, we think.
Our projects may appear to be what most people are calling 'rat rods'. We don't get into arguing what that actually means because it's a fad right now and it doesn't matter. Our cars look the way they do because of the materials and money that went into them, not because that's the trendy look we were trying to achieve. We'll build nice shiny cars some day, but not if that causes the original vision and pure form of the vehicle to fade into obscurity. A nice paint job on crap is still crap.
Occasionally we meet people with the same vision, and that's who the club will eventually include. This is not intended to become large or fashionable.
So stay tuned as we grow a little and we'll keep you updated.
